the problem i have is this, i was almost home when the rpms jumped almost like it slipped out of gear, no D,2,3,R. hauled it home with my Jeep and checked it out next day, drive engages but no 2,3, or R. throws code P0740 & P0734 (TCC cellinoid) (gear 4 ratio), clean tranny fluid, no grinding.
what steps can i take to figure out what parts need to be replaced? everyone tells me to just replace the tranny, which has been rebuilt twice already (prev owners) and i dont really have $2000! anything else it might be?

 

Depends on how long u had the check engine light on with the 740 code I will bet awhile the converter is coming apart inside and has prob clogged up a lot of stuff.
