Default Power steering pump replacement

I have a 2003 3.8 L T & C and you guys have helped me before so I am coming back to the well for some recommendations on the ease or lack thereof of replacing a power steering pump. Mine makes a lot of noise upon start and when turning wheel back and forth. It usually goes away after driving for awhile. The fluid level is fine and the power steering function itself does not seem to be affected. Any help would be appreciated. I would like to just replace the pump myself but was wondering if there are any pitfalls to look for.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try! That would be an easy fix. I won't be able to get to it until Monday so I will report back then. Currently out of town. Thanks for the reply.
