cruise control problem 2005 uk spec grand voyager 3.3 petrol

my cruise control was working fine and now it has stopped i press the button on the steering wheel and i get the cruise sign on the clocks but nothing is happening

Check the brake pedal is in the fully up position. Had the same problem; turned out to be a finely adjusted brake switch.

wouldnt my brake lights stay on if this was the case ?

Id check the small vacuum pipes on the cruse control module on the throttle housing make sure it has,nt come off... i had the same problem on my old 3.3
