Default rear shocks

hello all,
have a 2004 town and country, 3.8, rear shocks are bad, what is the nivomat system? and how do I know if I have it? any way to tell without climbing underneath? don't know what I would be looking for anyway, any help please? thanks

I believe the nivomat system shocks are wider. I dont know much about them as in details.

Some upper rated cars like LTD edition, have self levelling rear suspension dampers which are noticeably wider.
