I have a 2010 Town & Country I can't find the Refrigerant tag under the hood. What is the exact charge amount of 134A for this vehicle? Thx!

 

How much is in it is like asking what length is a piece of string. Refrigerant expert will help by checking for leaks, and refilling with the right equipment. Think you can buy aerosol tins of Refrigerant at Halfords or get them to do the job.

 

There is actually a data tag under the hood it says the kind of refrigerant which is R134a and it says the exact amount of R134a in the system in oz or decimal pounds or both if anybody out there has a 2010 Town & Country with A/C in front and rear (must have both mine does) if you can do me a great favor and pls take a picture of the take and post here or at least put the info in this thread I would greatly appreciate it.

According to online parts sites the same label was used from the 2008 thru 2013 model years, so your 2010 will be the same.

Here's the text from the label in case you want to cut and paste:

R-134a A/C Refrigerant Factory Charge:
Single Unit: 29 oz. (1.81 lb - 0.82 kg)

Thx! George really appreciate it I found a PDF file online prior to your post. It said the charge was 39 oz so I went recovered the refrigerant, evacuated the system and weighed in the charge of 39 ounces, wish I had waited a little longer it's now short 1.5 ounces but that should be ok I'm close to the actual charge 1.5 ounces of refrigerant is not much any Thanks again

 

Not even remotely true. The refrigerant system holds a constant capacity based on the compressor, condenser, and pipes which generally do not change for a given model year of a certain vehicle. The capacity of the system is going to be the same for all vehicles like his and can easily be measured using mass generally in lb or oz. If it has leaked the proper way to refill it is to vacuum the system meaning it will be empty every time. Even if it had some left in it releasing it would be illegal and it would have moisture in the system so a proper recovery system would need to be used and it would still be empty afterwards. If it was a small leak and he could get away with just topping it up I’m sure he would’ve mentioned that in the original post. It’s very clear he is asking about the total capacity of the system. Your non answer was not helpful. Being demeaning to someone who is asking a perfectly reasonable question says more about you than them.
