Default Relay scratching or a Mouse.

Silly one this. Left car shut down with key hanging out ignition switch and wife left in car to go to Chippy. When I returned with two Pizza's and Fish supper she said there was scratching sound coming from inside glove compartment. Scratching she said, not clicking or ticking. Nothing in glove box of course so is there relays of sort that lies at back of glove box that would be checking things out, like noting there's someone in passenger seat and doors all closed.
