Voyager 2.5 crd manual with slipping clutch
Hi all,
My 2002 voyager 2.5 CRD (manual gearbox) started slipping just a little in 4th and 5th gear.
I did not notice it ever before but after the latest oilchange the clutch seems to slip just a little when I accelerate getting on the highway.
*Why would this happen after an oilchange? Is the car filled with wrong oil or did the new oil just reveal a worn clutch?
*How long can I continue drive with this clutch?
*Any insights of what the repair would cost me letting replace the clutch?
*Are there any smart tricks to (temporarily) repair this?

Its just a case of getting your slipping clutch replaced before it becomes a total slip and the longer you leave it the more the clutch plate rivets with bit into the flywheel face and create a grove.

Couldn't agree with Goggs more. Also check when you do it if the clutch isn't contaminated with oil. Just a tiny bit will cause a slip at these torques. Isn't there a favorite bearing for leaking around there?

ps., if there were any smart tricks for fixing a clutch-slip I'd know about it. None of the old ideas worked for longer than a few hours -- just enough to sell it in fact...

Like Leadsman says get the rear/flywheel end crankshaft seal replaced at same time. I recon its not a known fault, just an issue of high mileage use and this seal gets the brunt of power going through the crankshaft at that point.
