however they are not the easiest to do i did mine and another forum members car on the same day took most the day to do the pair of them

checked out the auction site thanks for the pointer. I hadn't realised that the thermostat was a complete housing, I had figured on the UK type, domed cover three bolt fixing, pop the dome, pull out the old one, drop new one in, new gasket, tighten bolts

Oh well i guess that's how it goes.
Rite well I think I'm gonna try flushing the cooling system first with some Rad-Flush, then totally drain the cooling system. See if that sorts the problem out. If its still the same then its gonna have to be a new thermostat.
I will post back and let you know the outcome
