My car horn would go off intermittently on its own so I thought maybe the battery in my key chain piece was dying. Now the locks are locking on its own and the horn will beep intermittently whilel I'm driving. It's embarrassing 'cos people are looking at me wondering why I'm honking at them! Is this a computer issue that I should take it to the dealer or does it sound like there's a short circuit with the car alarm and that I can just get a new car alarm? The dealer will charge me $103 just for an assessment, and I know I can buy a new alarm for $150 with installation at Best Buy. And honestly, I don't even need the alarm, can I just get it deactivated?
