Default Location of Brake Calipers

I recently had pads replaced. They didn't say anything about the calipers, but I have kept hearing a thunk/click when I brake. I have been inspecting them when I get home, and sometimes the side of the pads (where they clip into the caliper) are not clipped in.

That was the passenger side. The caliper seems to be in a different place than the driver's side. Is it supposed to be in the same place? I am going to stop by the shop that did it. They have done very well in the past, so I am sure if it is an issue with their installation it will be fixed. But I am just curious about the location.

Yes, the calipers are supposed to be in the same relative place on each side, allowing for the fact that they are symmetrically opposite. That is, if you look at the left side and the caliper is centered at the 2 o'clock position, it should be at the 10 o'clock position on the right side.

Have it looked at right away.

You can not interchange the calipers, even if you try.
But the outside pad has to be in the correct side.
Breeze outer side pads have a "c" gap that interlocks in the caliper and if you place them in the incorrect side they will slip and fall back in rapid sucession when you apply the brake and you will hear a click, click, click.
Have the shop switch the outer pads, or you can do it. Just left to right.
