Default misfire, 2.5L

A few months ago my 2.5L chrysler cirrus started misfiring real bad. I plugged in a scan tool and it read cylinder 2 misfire. I assumed a new set of plugs and wires would fix my problem but that wasnt the case. I changed the plugs and wires and when i started it up it ran like it was supposed to. However i took it out on a main road and got it up to about 55 mph and you could instantly hear it shutter then start missing again. I ran it until the check engine light came back on and then scanned it again for codes. It read cylinder 2 misfire again. When i changed the plugs i noticed oil on the front plugs. So i changed the valve cover gaskets and the seals to keep oil from getting on the plugs. Started it back up and still reads cylinder 2 misfire. I am assuming the problem is somewhere in that second cylinder. I am on a pretty low budget and if anyone has any advice on what I should do next i would really appreciate it. thanks

Default RE: misfire, 2.5L

check compression with all the front cyls if they are with in the same reading then u know its not mechanical. Start to check for possable carbon build up or distuburator issue.
