Hi, my 1996 Cirrus LX has had a clunking noise in the front end since new. I'm the original owner just not the one who got to drive it alot. Every time we would take in for regular service we were told that it's nothing serious and that it's common to all the cloud cars. Since I didn't drive it much and she who must be obeyed drove with the stereo blasting it never seemed to be much of an issue for her so I let it slide. In 2007 tried to sell the car and people would use the clunking noise as an excuse not to buy it. shortly after that it developed a leak in the power steering so I just parked it in the back of the garage and there it sat till now. I pulled it out over the holidays and decided that it will be my daily driver. I'm getting the brakes and steering rack done and she'll be good to go but the clunking noise is still there.
I figured that in the 16 years since these cirrus have been on the road someone may have found the source of the clunking and have a fix for it?
Pat
