1996 concorde check engine light comes on after fueling
I have a 1996 concorde with 176k on it. It has the 3.5 engine. Recently when I fuel it up and leave it running I get back in to find the check engine light is on. I disconnct the battery it will reset it but then the next time I refuel it comes back on. Living in MN we leave them running while we refuel. If I turn the car off it does not do it. It also seems to start hard on cold morning and sometimes need to give it gas to make it start. Any suggestions? Fuel pressure regulator? Fuel pump? Thanks in advancefor your input. ymhajoe

did u ever by chance find out what the code is b4 u erase it?? i bet it will be a large evap leak so in that case if u want to keep doing what u are doing go right ahead but what i would do is turn off the engine while u fuel not a smart move any way.
