Default 2002 Grand Caravan shift issue

Hi all, new guy here. My wife's 02 Grand Caravan has a real nasty downshift from 3rd to 2nd. I chnaged the trans fluid and filter a couple of weeks ago and used a "generic" +4 trans fluid and Fram filter/gasket. I read another post on another web site last night where a guy (chrysler mechanic) had posted that you should only use Mopar +4. I changed the fluid today and put Mopar fluid in and I only drove it a short distanc ebut it's still there. Does it sound like the trans needs to be re-programed? There wasn't anything out of the ordinary in the bottom of the pan when I first took it off. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
