Default 2003 Town & Country

I have a 2003 Town & Country LX with a 3.8 engine. Chugging when first started, seems to dissipate when it warms up but every time car brake is applied and slows down the chug returns. Disappears when re-throttled. New plugs, new wires, new coil, diagnotically checked out - no codes. Mechanic thinks it is a sensor or a module causing the chugging problem. Every thing seems to check out on the computer, but the chugging continues. Is there a problem with a module on this model that would cause this problem? Any other ideas:

Thanks!
