93 Eagle Vision (radio problems)

Head unit works display comes up but there is absolutely no sound at all coming through the speakers now there is a small nr in the upper right hand corner which i have been told is for noise reduction would this keep the sound from reaching the speakers if so how do I turn this noise reduction off.
