Heater control issues

I think I made this post in the wrong area but here it is again. I have a 99 LHS and my digital display is not working on my heater control. I bought one from the bone yard and it works when I move the harness around. Im thinking that the male plug may have a short in a wire or something. Any help would be awesome.
