rear seat dvd

I recently installed monitors in my headrest. they are not factor, but were hooked up to my 6 disc changer dvd/cd. is there are way i can listen to my radio while the kids are watching the dvd,without it playing through the speakers? Incidentlly, i did purchase headphones with the monitors that are not factory either.
