Default 90 Lebaron headlight switch, any way around?

Any tips on getting around a faulty on-dash headlight switch for a 90 LeBaron convertible w//digital dash? Mopar nor any aftermarket supplier makes such a beast anymore and many of the junkers have already been cleaned out on dash parts of this type. The problem is that the headlights go out or close at random and only holding the switch down with your finger keeps you running after dark. What I'm looking for is a suggestion on how to reroute the switch with maybe a typical toggle type or something similar. The cars in great shape with just 89k and I'd hate to have to dump it but will do so if it can't be fixed. After all, who needs a car that only works in the daylight?
