Exclamation clutch peddal droped on 1999 voyager 2.5 td

Hi I have just bought a voyager (my first) last week. We were driving it afew days ago down the motorway nice and easy but when I was coming off the motorway the clutch peddal sort of lost preassure the peddal went down but only came a little way back up I could just about change gear I got her home and had a look under the bonnet to see if the fluid level was low but it was ok so i looked under the car & I can see the hydrolic arm that moves the clutch arm had fluid onit i pulled back the rubber bit on it and fluid leaked out .... does any body know if its ment to do that & if not what is that part called its like an actuator arm/ram any help would be great as I am new to the type of car
