if im not mistaken you can cycle your key three times(leave it turned on)and watch the speedo cluster and write down the "P" codes set by your check engine light.let me know what codes you have and i'll let you know whats wrong.the pt cruiser is one of the cars that spits out codes on cluster.let me know moe!

Hi Moe, sorry, I took so long to respond. I have been busy. Just could not find the time to get to these forums. Usually when I submit a post, I'll put a check in the box below that says: Notify me via e-mail when someone replies. That's how I know if someone has responded to my post. Hope that helps, Tommy.

Unhappy OMG It keeps cutting off while I drive

Ok guys I have had so many different sensor, relay, battery, spark plugs & wires changed, I have had the idle adjusted, but this pt crusier is cutting off on me while I drive. Does anyone have a under the hood fuse designation to tell me what my fuses are for. Or any suggestions to help. PLEASE

There is a tamper proof that you need a star bit with a hole in it to adjust it and that was done right infront of me and it brought my idle from 1/8 rpm to almost 1 rpm in park drastic change and now it doesn't cut off when I go to stop or driving slow cause gasing and breaking at the same time isn't fun. I bought the car used so I don't have a user's manual. I have tried to pull diagrams online but don't see any that gives me the fuse designation. It however still cuts off while I am driving, not at a stop but driving like 65 miles and hour.

U are not suppose to move that screw it is set at a certain step All u did was adj the air flow going into the car the computer controls the fuel so what u though u did the computer simply adj the fuel mix back to what it wants.
U need to have a good scanner hooked up to it to see what the codes are.
