Default New 3500 Ram shakes at hwy speeds.

My wife and I bought a new fifth wheel camper last summer and decided that our 2014 Ram 2500 would struggle on the long trips we plan on taking next summer all across the country when we retire next February. We found a beautiful 2016 3500 extended cab with the "Black Out" look and could not have been happier, until we went on our first trip. Fortunately, we did not take our camper because at highway speeds (70-72) the truck has a very noticeable side to side shake. We have had the truck in and out of the dealership numerous times ever since. The last and final effort to correct the issue was to put a brand new complete rear end in it, which did not change anything, it still shakes. Chrysler says "it's normal" and (according to the dealership) will not do anything more. We are about to make our 4th payment this week and we are just sick about the whole experience, we cannot safely pull our camper with this truck. Is there anyone who can help us?

I'm sorry, I don't see where I can do that. Assuming PM means private message.

Just click on ChryslerCares at the top of the posting by ChryslerCares and one of the options is "Send a Private Message to ChryslerCares".

The first thing to suspect in vehicle shake is an out-of-balance or out-of-round tire.
Good Luck.

Maybe ChryslerCares can send you a private message to which you could reply. ChryslerCares is a user here who works at Chrysler in Auburn Hills. Most of her posts seem to be related to checking for service bulletins which might be related to a particular vehicle (hence the request for your VIN). If it's something like a bad tire, there may not be any bulletin on the subject.
If you can get the vehicle up on a hoist and spin the wheels, you may very well be able to detect an out-of-round tire visually. You'll need to get all driven wheels off the ground to do this safely.

As for private messaging, I think the site moderators will give you access after they are convinced you're not a spammer.

Hi Ram3500,

You can email your information to fcasocial@fcagroup.com if that would be easier. Just put ATTN: Andrea in the subject line!

Thank you all for replying and the helpful comments. I guess I should have posted a bit more history..... we have had this truck in and out of the dealership at least 5 times starting with tire rotation, high speed tire rotation, new tire, tried complete set of tires and rims, checked driveshaft for balance, (star engineer got involved) did something with the hubs, something with the rear axles, something in the rear end and finally a complete rear end was put in last Tuesday and still shakes.
