I was curious (kind of "idle curiosity" - not, actually, personally considering it) so I asked a chum (friend - not shark bait), a practicing physician, and he said, "I'm sorry but none of the medical consequences mentioned in your email are real." I cut 'n pasted all content from the post from, "In dry cold weather...." right through to risk 8 as described in this post. Essentially, I gave him the entire post less the solution.
So, if you're actually considering this, think twice - or at least ask a doctor who you know and trust before spending.
Well, Michael; If we get inappropriate posts such as this (unauthorized commercial) in a discussion forum then someone's got to decry it - authoritatively, not by opinion - and I have no background to make any negative, authoritative, comments on the issue. My post is primarily for those who would give this nonsense a second thought.
For my part, in spite of the fact that I'm a sexually active, I'm not pregnant; I have no heart and, according to my wife, I'm already prematurely senile so ...
have fun
the biggest danger i can think of from static electricity (besides getting hit by lightning) is static discharge when filling a gas can... though i have never actually heard of this happening... hence the warnings about placing the container on the ground before filling... wonder if it has caused an explosion... web search might confirm or deny, if you believe everything you read online or anywhere else for that matter...
