Well since I know the Cummins well enough, I also know that the truck weighs 8000lbs, to what do you think a Viper weighs? Also one other note............nitrous on a diesel does not work like it does on a gas vehicle, the nitrous on a diesel only burn the remaining fuel that is left over. Like with my NX kit on my diesel in the gasser world it is a 200 shot, in the diesel world it nets a whole whopping 75hp.
As far as turbo................the Cummins, Powerstroke, and Duramaxx come stock with one.

It's not hard to get high HP, and high TQ from a diesel... but power to weight ratios is what you would have to look at in competitions like this.

Here ya go another diesel... 9.97cummins

I also heard the GM was putting a diesel in the Corvette as of 2009, and I also heard that if it works out, that would be the only engine option, not sure how well that would go over with the gasser guys tho! lol

Ya I know the diesels all too well since I own Triple D Performance. We won the Diesel Nationals last yearin Indianaplois last year, along with I know most of the guys that are running low numbers with thier trucks, but we have been at this long before the electronic diesels came out, but it is all fun.

A diesel in a Vett will not go over well with that crowd..........but it would be intresting.

Looks like a GTS Viper, not 500 hp. Bad start and crappy driving.
