I had a 67 MGB GT. If you were looking for reliable transportation, that wasn't it. Went through three exhaust systems in 4 years. To remove the starter, you had to remove everything from the right side of the engine because the Bendix was about a foot long.
I got home from 300 miles away one time by beating on the electric fuel pump with a screwdriver every couple of miles to keep it running.
The rear shocks leaked but they had a screw in the top you could remove and add some oil rather than replacing them.
There were a couple of good things about the car: The odometer showed tenths of a mile, and there were 10 clicks between tenths, so if you were measuring distance (like in a rally), every click was about 53 feet.
And the fuel gauge was dead accurate. If it showed an eighth of a tank, that's exactly what you had. None of this driving 50 miles before it comes off of full.
When I finally went to sell it, a lady called about the car in response to an ad in the paper. I asked her if she was good with tools. She never came to look at the car.
