Default 96 LHS

MY 1996 LHS seems to have a problem that is effecting the temp gauge, oil preassure light, and radio. Any ideas?

After my lhs warms up to operating temp. The temp gauge some times goes almost to red line. Then it will slowly go back to normal. When this happens the oil light comes on . It will also go out when temp returns to normal . This may not be related but the radio will not change stations unless you punch button more than once. Could these be related to some electrical problem. I have stopped to see if engine is hot. it is not. Also I checked oil. It was ok. The oil light will go out if you keep engine rev. above 2000rpms. This has been happening for several months. We do not use this car a lot . I have had a new rad., new waterpump. and new timing belt installed about 1 year ago. Thanks taff 222

hey taff.i don't thing the radio problem is related to the coolant problem and oil pressure.sounds like your oil pressure is low have you had a gauge put on when the car is running? moe
