Default Rear power door lock stopped working

I drive a 2000 Chrysler Concorde. In the past year, the rear driver's-side power door lock hasn't worked. I have tomanually lock and unlock the door.At 2different times, the reardoor lock responded to the transmitter for a day or two but then failed to work again. This seems random and Ihave no idea what causes this to happen.

The other three door lockswill lock and unlock inresponseto the transmitter but don't auto-lock when the car is in motion.I've reset the system according to the manual by turning the key in the ignition to "on" 4 times and pressing the transmitter, but nothing happens.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Steve

I would suspect that the rear door not being unlocked or locked by the switch is caused by a bad door lock actuator. you may need to fix this for the system to be able to work for auto lock.

Thanks very much dodgetech1. Is there a way to find some directions on-line to change the actuator?

remove the door trim panel remove the plastic shield and then remove the door lock actuator, normally three bolts holding it on. be sure to know which rods go where on it too. they're kind of a pain to replace I just don't have good luck with them going that fast for me. When you do have it all apart be sure to check the operation of all the rods they might be binding up causing this problem to happen. I had a car in once where someone installed an aftermarket door lock actuator/alarm system on it and had some wierd stuff going on for a problem.

Default Chrysler Concorde Driver Rear Power Lock Actuator

How do I find the part number for the Chrysler Concorde Driver Rear Power Lock Actuator without tearing it apart first?
