Default CONCORDE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS

I have a 1999 Concorde with 127000 miles and am very happy with it;being the first Chrysler I've ever owned. However, one problem has been a recurring headache for me.It is the heater/blower motor resistor keeps blowing. 2 different garages have replaced the resistor 6 times, the wiring harness and the dashboard switch( at the suggestion of the Chrysler factory rep). These fixes last 2-3 days at most. Finally another garage measured the amperage being drawn by the fan motor as being 18 amps instead of 5 amps.
I believe this problem is fairly common in Chryslers so I hope this helps somebody else. Final cost was $327.
