With all the talk of hybrids and auto-makers ongoing commitments to creating eco-friendly vehicles, Chrysler is proud to introduce to you their first volume production hybrid; the 2009 Chrysler Aspen Hybrid.

The Chrysler Aspen Hybrid, available this fall, utilizes the most technologically advanced two-mode hybrid and represents a major automotive milestone due to the unprecedented fully integrated combination of electric motors with fixed-gear transmission.  So what does this mean for you?

This hybrid technology coupled with the Aspen is designed to improve fuel efficiency while maintaining the power, utility, and elegant styling you’ve come to expect from a luxury SUV.

The electric motors coupled with the HEMI’s 4 cylinder Multi Displacement System improve fuel economy up to 40% city and more than 25% overall.  And for those of you worried about sacrificed performance, the Aspen Hybrid adds 50+ HP over the current HEMI with an impressive towing capability at 6,000 lbs.  Plus you’ll get the best-in-class* cargo capacity behind the 2nd row, and seating up to 8.

If you are interested in checking it out for yourself, the vehicle is now featured on the main Chrysler.com site and on the Chrysler blogsite.  As always, I will be around to answer any of your questions.

Thanks,

Will

Even if it is the last production year why wouldn''t someone want one if they decided it was the right vehicle for them?  I don''t understand why being the last production year would have any influence on buying one.

Being the last production year, there is the scare of a rapid decline in resale value.  I would also be leary of parts availability.

When is the Diesel Aspen coming out?  I would be truely interested in trading mine for that!

I hope not!!!  I love this truck!!!  My lease ends 2010.  That would be a shame...  Then why are they focusing on a hybrid now?

I hope Chrysler is able to keep the Aspen and the T&C in the lineup... but I would understand if they didn''t, and I would most likely be finding myself back in a Honda.
