I suddenly had my Check engine light come on, So I brought it to my mechanic & the troubbleshooter is generating a P1004 code. It has something to do with a reprograming fault for the ECM. Is anyone aware of this code & what it is all about ??????

P1004 IS A FAULT CODE FOR SHORT RUNNER VALVE CONTROL PERFORMANCE. COULD BE A # OF THINGS. SRV SHORTED TO GROUND,SRV CONTROL OPEN,SRV ASSM,OR A PCM. THERE A TSB FOR THIS FAULT CODE TO DO A FLASH UPDATE TO THE PCM. YOU SHOULD HAVE WARRENTY,SO WHY #@%^ AROUND AND TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THEM FIX IT.
