We have an AWD 2006 Pacifica Touring with 12,000 miles that we bought in December with 9,000 miles. Throughout this 3 month period, it has not shown better that 13.6 miles per gallon......Even when on the highway. The poor gas mileage is killing my budget. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong?? We don't let it idle for a long time even though it's cold here near Pittsburgh, and we use standard 87 octane fuel. Please help!!! I could be driving a motor home for this kind of mileage!! Thank you very much

Number 1: My 2004 owners manual says a minimum of 89 octane is required for the 3.5 liter engine. Number 2: AWD really drags on fuel mileage regardless of vehicle brand. I had an AWD of a different brand "once". My FWD averages 19mpg in the city and 23 on the highway using 89 or 93 octane.
