1994 Chrysler LHS misfire

I have a 1994 Chrysler LHS 3.5L that seems to misfire around 1700-2000 RPM's. It does this when I am in park and rev the car and it does it when the car is in drive going down the road. Car only has 81,000 miles. I have replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires, and coil pack. It does it the worst when the car settles around 55-60 MPH (RPM's are around 1800). I can stomp on the gas and the RPM's will climb right through it just fine, but at cruising speed it is terribble. Car has a slight hesitation when just taking off from a stop too unless I "hammer the gas."

Any suggestions on what the solution is to this? Any help would appreciated.

I had a similar problem with my 95 . Took it to dealer cost $135. As I droveout same prob. Drove right back and told the service mgr. prob. not fixed. They kept it another day and prob. fixed $130 more. I called Chrysler an told them I was being ripped off. Chrysler Co. paid. 2 months later missing again. I checked under hood and saw spark plug wires. 1 was black 7 others were grey. I replaced all spark plug wires and n0w no problems. That was at 40 k miles. bad wires will not set a code
I was later told by a local repairman that the wires need to be changed every 50 k miles. You should check the coils also. I have the factory manual and have done repairs on my 95.
Good Luck

I forgot to mention that the Idle Control Motor (solenoid) may cause missing/hesitaton also. I changed mine for similar reasons.

try cleaning your throttle bodies to fix the hesitation

Engine hesitation or misses at certain rpms

I checked the interior of the throttle body regularly with a flexable bore scope. It is clean. I installed a high efficiency air cleaner that can be cleaned and re-oiled. Helped gas mileage some .
