1997 LHS shaking issues

Hey I have a 1997 LHS and have been having some shaking issues. What happens is when on the gas the front end starts shaking at about 40 to 45mph up to 60mph.Only on the gas though(and it shakes bad too). Let off the gas and the car is smooth as silk. I had the subframe mount replaced, inner tierods replaced, and balanced and rotated the tires. All that did nothing, its still shaking. The mechanics that have looked at it say the front end is tight and the motor mounts are good:confused: Anyone know where else to look? I am at a loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hate to say but you might want to have a look at the tranny. Sounds like a possible torque converter.

I have the same issue! I replaced the axles and motor mounts which seemed to help until I went on a big road trip and one axle completley blew apart!! The motor mounts are hydrolic filled. The aftermarket brand " Anchor" suck!! I have installed 3 pairs in 6 months due to leaking after the first day. You need to align the engine so there is equal lengths on each outer axle. If your off like 2% the axles will be out 1/2". I'm going at it one more time tonight with a different brand of motor mounts. We'll see if that vibration dissapears at 40-50mph! I'm scared to drive it anywhere far. With only 113,000 miles I should be golden.
Oh... At 100,000 miles I did a huge premantainance job on it too!
