2003 concorde overheating
where is the heat/temperature sensor, called EOM? or something like that 3.5 liter. have replaced thermostat, radiator, water pump, still overheats

apparently your not catching on my man. Coolant temperature sensor does what?
Tells the computer what the temperature of the coolant is by sending voltage back to the pcm then the pcm will display that is a graphical interface aka the cluster.
SO....... if your cluster is showing that you are over heating after driving and the car stops n you, smokes, blows a hose what ever. then safe to say the ETC is doings its job.

thanks again, just trying to figure out why car is overheating still after replacing everything, thought there might be a sensor involved. I am going to go thru everything again and try to find out what the problem is. this has been a very good car, did a lot of traveling in it and it is very comfortable, hate for it not to run right. I am a "back yard mechanic" so don't have any special equipment to test things with!

These cars are touchy about air in the cooling system. There is a bleeder in the top front of the intake manifold to bleed out trapped air. Overfill the reservoir with a funnel jammed in the tank, open the bleeder to let the air out. Install a new or known good cap (bad cap will cause overheating)
Start the engine, heat on full high, idle for a few minutes and crack the bleeder NOT THE CAP, wait a few more minutes, crack bleeder again. If no more air, and you have heat take it for a ride. Allow to fully cool before prior to removing cap to top off if needed.
This is asuing the fans work correctly and the thermostat is properly installed. Spring /base must face engine and it will fit backwards.
