did the diagonstic test on my atc and got a code 36. everything worked as normal except i could only get hot air. i disconnected the battery to clean the terminals, now the A/C works great, freezes me out. also shows no codes now. why did this happen?

 

Anyone else have this issue? I just did the ATC code check cause my A/C does not seem to be working at 100% and I came up with code 36 as well...my vehicle is a '99 300M.

I replaced the ATC unit last winter...
