clunking grinding noise in right front

I have a 97 chrysler concorde with 80k. Lately I have noticed a grinding and clunking noise when excellerating from a stop. It does not do it every single time, but seems to be occuring more frequently if I drive more agressivley. I have recently pull the wheel off and checked the rotor, brake pads, and caliper, all of which looked to be in perfect shape.I did notice that the dust cover on the strut was severly out of place. All other suspension components look fine. Has anyone else experienced this problem? What could it be? Please let me know before I take it to the dealer

RE: clunking grinding noise in right front

Ok so I went to the garage today to find the problem, and bingo they found it! Its a motor mount thats bad. The reason that the noise only occurs when accelerating from a dead stop is because the force from that acceleration is great enough to make the motor rock. I'm getting it fixed on wednesday.
