Concorde GPS Mount

I want to get a GPS mount for my 97 Concorde. There is a nice flat spot that would make a good place for one. I don't mind using some adhesive, but don't want to drill into the dash. I'm not sure a friction mount would work there. Anyone have a tried and true solution? DIY is good too, as I'm always up for those fixes.

Why put in an engraved invitation to break in and steal something? Get one of those mounts that just sit on the dash. I have one for my Garmin and it's just the thing. It sits there very happily and doesn't slide around. The unit snaps in and out of it in a flash. When I park the car for lunch or whatever, it disappears under the seat very easily with or without the GPS in it. It goes with me no matter which car I'm driving. It leaves no mark on the dash. A thief walking by will see no evidence of its existence.
For 90% of my driving, I have no need of a GPS and it stays in the drawer at home. I suspect that's the case for many if not most people. Why would you want something permanently glued to the dash that is only neccessary occasionally and is asking to be stolen? Even if you remove the GPS itself, the mount sitting there tells a thief that it might be worthwhile to break in and look around.

True! I looked at the dash on the Concorde again today, and there is plenty of space for a friction mount. I guess I'll go with that.
