New Guy needs help with 1994 Eagle Vision Timing belt
Hi !
Iīm Aley from Germany. iīm a car mechanic by profession. iīm new to this board and i `ve some serious issues with our 1994 Vision. a few weeks ago,the wife went to work with the car and called me because it suddenly stopped and had some steam coming out of the engine compartment. i took the Vision back home on the trailer and looked for the reason. timing belt was blown, tensioner wheel was broken, water pump was hard to turn. as i found out on the internet, that engine should be a non-interference engine. so i got me the belt, the tensioner wheel and a water pump. all original chrysler mopar parts-the guys at the local dealer ordered all the parts usi ng the VIN. so all that stuff fits in perfect. today,i placed in the timing belt-set up all the marks, placed the belt and tensioner in. but-the engine doesnīt start. all there is are some single shots it does. i had another try using some start spray-and the engine fired into the intake manifold. i checked all the timing marks and they were in correct position... does anyone have a idea what might be wrong? i really love the vision-i donīt want to take it to the junkyard just because i didnīt see the obvious... thank you for any help! hi!
the 3.5 v6... to me it seems the timing isnīt right... do the camshaft wheels have a keyway or sometzhing like thet? iīve read on some site, they wouldnīt have that. so it would be possible, the marks fit but the timing isnīt right... alex |
