Timing Belt and CAM Position
 

Installing a new timing belt, and all the other stuff that goes with it....I had to move the right CAM (1 tooth) to the right to get the belt to fit - when I did that, the CAM snapped towards the right about 90 degrees:

Question: I just turned the CAM back (anti clockwise) to the correct spot - is that OK, or do I have to do a full 360 right turn of the CAM?

I rotated the crank through 4 rotations and there is no interference issues?

Happens all the time, no problem with backing it up to the correct spot.
Cam marks should favor the center of the engine between the dots on the housings.

passenger side cam will not line up with reference point driver side cam line up perfect crank lined up with TDC why can I get this pesticide come to stop 12:00

Crank and drivers side will align easily. It takes some extra effort. Set it up one tooth past toward the center of the engine. The when you engage the tensioner it pulls the cam into position. As long as the cams are between the marks, favoring the center of the engine, with the crank at TDC you will be ok.
