Timing belt replacement, 2000 300M, 3.5L

Kevin, Chrysler tech: Thanks for advice on my new member post re: timing belt change. I have a good repair manual to guide me but it has proven to have a slightly altered reality than the actual job I'm doing, so I would like to know if I can expect to get the crankshaft nut off by placing a pry bar through the middle of the pulley to hold it (like the book says I can) or should I rent air tools before starting? And, it doesn't say anything abt. the pin in the pulley that I've heard to watch for falling out. Does this model have a pin, and will it be obvious where it goes? Or do i need to learn these nuggets by getting in and d0ing it? Thanks again, I appreciate what you do!

I would get the tool it makes it so much better working in the tight spot and there is no line up pin

Thanks for the warning! I was hoping to get it back together w. a blk of wood smacked w. a sledge & finished off with the bolt but now am worried by space limits abt that plan (never even hrd of the press tht the book recommends) too. At least I'll hv a week to figure smthg out! ha ha! Thanks again for your comments.*
