Default ipod input

My 2007 T&C Limited has the RB1 Navigation Radiowith RCA jacks. Manual refers to "AUX Mode" for listening to MP3 players, etc., but I cannot seem to get it to cycle to the AUX mode. The dealer called MOPAR and was told it my system doesn't support input to the RCA jacks. Not sure if that was for IPOD format only or all input. I don't wish to use the FM transmitter if I don't have to. This is my first posting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I searched everywhere, but I did not find any useful information. I installed a car stereo and recommendations to address the external CD player is connected in such a way deliberately to prevent users from using other manufacturer's CD changer (or discman) you - forcing you to buy their units, rather than competitors.
