Car audio power consumption question.?

I am looking into buying a complete aftermarket car audio setup (head unit, subwoofer/amp, door and rear pillar speakers, and tweeters that come bundled with the door/pillar speakers) The amp is 500 watts and the sub is 400 watts (all speakers are from Kicker, and the Sub to Amp guide on their website matched these so they are compatible) What i was wondering is if i need to buy a capacitor to keep my lights from dimming or any other electrical shortage with an audio system that doesn't draw much power. And if i do need one, how many Farads should the capacitor should be. I am installing the system in a 2003 PT Cruiser.

Don't bother with a cap. Buy a better battery for a little more that will make much more difference. Also look into the big 3.
