Thanks for your reply. It is a replacement unit I purchased for my daughters car because she had broken her screen.
I had contacted a local dealership that I buy parts from and they didn't know how to get the code, in fact their response was "if you figure it out let us know"....There's at a couple of other dealerships close I will try them today.
I will also try the battery disconnect/reconnect first.
