hi i got a 98 voyager it has aftermarket stereo (sony) and i got sound but it wont go above 15 or it cuts out. there must be a buit in amp as mine has 8 speakers. im thinking about rewiring the whole lot with after market amps too. let me know if you have any luck finding the built in amp. cheers. hayd.

many chrysler products with 'infinity' system have an amp ground wire that connects to the back of the radio. it's a single wire dark green. if you don't connect it, you'll have minimal sound from the speakers. IDK if this applies to you guys but it's worth looking into.

as i recall, on vans, the speakers are amplified at the speaker and there is no external amp (gen2 for sure are this way). there is a relay which provides power to the speakers for amplification. in the wiring to the radio, a dark green wire is grounded to the radio body or to a male spade connector spliced with the ground strap. leaving this wire loose will cause no ground for the relay control and thus no power to the speaker amplification circuit.

Audio quility is the main part of any musical device. Stereo is created well for good sound effect. DVD player, radio and some mp3 player use speakers. this sound depend on its quality as well as speakers .

I think this will help you. Remove the radio from the dashboard and post the model number and serial number and serial number found on a label on the radio casing. If not than second try is to alternator has semiconductor diodes to change the AC it will generates into DC for charging and operation of the electrical system.

I was having the same problem in my 05 sebring what we did was we hooked the 12 volt battery memory wire on the harness & the power antenna wire on the harness together then twist those wires into the 12 volt ignition wire (which is red) on the radio. Then twist the yellow wire on the radio into the red wire that's on the harness. We kept the amp connected. The amp on my vehicle was located under the passenger side seat.
