2001 Sebring LXI 2.7L Dies at 150k?

I have heard from a few people that the 2001 Sebring LXI 2.7l V6 4 Door Dies at 150K miles...We are having to replace quite a few things at 127K but that could just be old age...Can anyone confirm this? It still runs well however the bearings are going out in the Crank Shaft and the electrical systems seem to be taking a dump but it runs well and we're still getting 30 mpg.

Mileage has nothing to do with it. If the crank bearings are going out that means u have sludge in the engine and spinning #1 or #3 main bearing the correct oil change and weight has not been used

oh lol no no this was just a general statement about all sebring 2001 lxi's with the 2.7l not just ours. That they all go pretty much die at 150k millage.

they only die if you dont maintain them well. Must be meticulous

i have heard this as well but i personally have a 2001 sebring 4 door with the 2.7 and i have had very few problems with it and nothing to major other than my ball joints i have 180,000 on it and she still runs beautifully. as long as you maintain it and use 5w20 oil every oil change you shouldn't have a problem.

According to the Mobil1.com website your car should have 5W-30 in the crankcase year round.
