Chrysler Brings Back "Signature Series" for 2006 Models

For the second year in a row, Chrysler is offering packages that honor Walter P. Chrysler, the Kansas locomotive mechanic who founded the company in 1925. The packages bundle popular equipment at no charge or as part of a package discount on several vehicles.

The Chrysler 300 Touring model with the "signature series" package costs $30,540, including destination. It has a navigation system, Sirius Satellite Radio, a moonroof, a Boston Acoustics sound system and other upgrades.

The 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Touring model with the package starts at $33,090 and includes features such as two-tone leather seating, a navigation system, heated seats and 17-inch chrome-clad wheels.

The 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring model starts at $18,705 and adds 16-inch chrome-clad wheels, a chrome exhaust tip and Sirius Satellite Radio. The signature series package adds a rear-seat entertainment system to the 2006 Town & Country Touring edition of the Chrysler minivan, starting at $32,760.

Chrysler said the package is also available on 2006 Chrysler Sebring base and touring models, starting at $21,795. The package includes a power sunroof, leather seats and chrome-clad wheels.

What this means to you: This is an easy way to get some significant upgrades on Chrysler products, if you don't mind Walter P.'s signature on your vehicle.
