I was hearing rumors that chrysler was going to release a truck in the form of a dakota or an suv like the liberty. Anyone else hear this?

 

Besides the Mitsubishi Raider using the Dodge Dakota platform, I haven't heard anything about this Chrysler truck. Chrysler is however going to make a 7 passanger suv maybe on the Commander platform(?). Haven't heard too much about it yet.

My cousin just got a job at some dodge plant in michigan. He says that chrysler is seriously looking at using both the liberty and dakota platforms. buzz is that theyve made a concept![8D]

 

This is interesting. Are you sure it wasn't the PT Cruiser truck concept?

Well, I recently visited my cousin. hes actualy workin in delaware, same plant as makes dakotas and durangos. he mentioned the pt truck concept sperate. so i am positive he said DC has a chrysler brand liberty , as well as dakota. He says that theyre driving throughout northamerica ( as far as dawson city, yukon canada ) . And will likely put one into production. ( Hopefuly Chrysler version of Liberty! ) Speculation on names are Nordic( Liberty platform ) , Blizzard ( Dakota Platform ) , Sno Trac ( Liberty Platform ), Rock Trac ( Dakota Platform ). Cool or what?

 

yeah when i look up parts for the 06 i can look up parts for the 2006 mitubishi truck pretty much the same as dakota just badges really a little fender stuff ya know
