02 digital climate control
 

I have an 02 sebring sedan with the manual climate control. Im looking at getting a digital climate control off ebay and was wondering if it would work in my car or is the wiring different?

wont work u dont have the sensors for the auto temp control plus wires plus the BCM will need to be changed.

I remember reading somewhere a while back that there was the possibility of adding a device that allows the addition of the digital climate control... does this ring a bell for anyone? Also, to make things more complicated, I am trying to make this work with a 2001 Sebring, which I understand has a analog vs. digital control... I want to upgrade to the digital control, how do I do it?

You need a sun sensor which would be located on the dash. There's no provision for it on your car. You would need a Body Control Module (Body Computer) that is configured for automatic climate control and you will need to have it configured for your vehicle VIN as well I think.
I think Chrysler planned on putting the ATC into the '01 Sebring as an option, but I've never seen one and I don't think they were able to pull it together and get it into production until the '02 model year. It's more complicated than you might think.
The manual control on your vehicle looks like a simple manual set of buttons, but those are actually inputs to the body computer which ultimately controls the heater-A/C.
You probably can find a better use for your money and time than pursuing this.
