I have a 2004 Sebring with a 2.7 with a VIN code of R I am looking at a 2.7 with the VIN code R. Am I going to run into problems doing the engine swap?

If I remember correctly (others may have better information) it was halfway through the 2004 model year that Chrysler made a significant change to the engine control system for that engine. I believe it involved a different engine computer with different connectors. If you can look at the donor vehicle and the computer looks identical to yours, you should probably be ok. If not, then the swap is not direct and will necessitate transferring over some parts and some sensors.

What parts do you think it would be? If that's the case and what sensors as well?

I don't know, but I'm sure there are others here on the forum who do. Do you know yet it it's going to be necessary?

I'm not sure if it's going to be necessary to do the swap or not. I have a video of what's going on with the car but videos don't do justice because you can't necessarily pinpoint what's going on with the vehicle. To me it sounds like it's going to be lifters or it spun a rod bearing. So at that point if it's the rod bearings I'd have to rebuild the engine anyways but if I go this route it would save me some money but before doing that I'm going to try and get into the oil pan and see if it's rod bearings or not or take off the top end and see if it's lifters or something along those lines up top. I've been told it could be the oil pump and or the timing chain tensioner. I just don't have all the tools or the equipment to be able to tear into the engine and find out what's going on with it so I have to take it to someone for them to do all this for me because I don't have the tools or the space or the equipment to be able to do such thing.

So I did the engine swap. Now I have 2 codes pull up. P0171 and P0172 What would cause these codes? I'e replaced the intake manifold gaskets 02 sensor on exhaust manifold on front side of the engine and also replaced the pcv valve. What should I do?

After you did the swap did you reset the ECU? Dirty sensors could be causing the code, not just a faulty sensor.

No I haven't reset the ECU all I've done is cleared codes with a scanner that's about it and the codes keep coming up. How do I reset the ECU?
