Default 07 Sebring Engine Oil Temp Sensor

Hi All,

I have an 07 Sebring with the 2.4L 4 cylinder. The check engine light came on, and my tester showed a P0196 code - Engine Oil Temperature Sensor fault.

My problem is that I have no idea where the engine oil temp sensor is so that I can test it and inspect the wiring. Chiltons doesn't have a manual. I also search this and other sites extensively and found nothing. Does anyone know the location of the engine oil temp sensor for the 2.4L 4 cylinder? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you so much for the picture, but unfortunately I can't open it. A message comes up saying that I don't have the privelidges. I am a member and am logged on, so I don't know what is wrong. Frustrating!

Thanks! And you are positive this is the engine oil temp sensor and not the coolant sensor?

I'll check it out.
